In our initial session, I will ask about your background, relevant history, current challenges, and your goals for counseling. At the end of this assessment, I’ll offer you some first impressions of what our work can include and collaborate on a treatment plan if you choose to continue with counseling.

I am in-network with Providence Health Plans, Cigna/Evernorth, MODA, and PacificSource.
If you choose to use your insurance, I will check what your insurance benefits are before your initial appointment to determine your coverage.
Though I check as a courtesy, I also encourage clients to check their coverage carefully. Here are common questions clients can ask their insurance provider beforehand:
Is this health provider in-network with my specific insurance plan?
Does my insurance cover outpatient counseling?
Does my insurance cover telehealth?
Do I have more than one insurance provider? If so, who is the primary and who is secondary?
Is a prior authorization required for mental health benefits? (If so, please provide the authorization number).
How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
What is my financial responsibility or coverage amount under my insurance plan for counseling services? (E.g.: Co-pay, co-insurance, etc.)
Out-of-Network: If I am not in-network with your insurance - you still may choose to work with me. I am happy to provide you with the necessary paperwork (a superbill) if you think your insurance plan has some out of network benefits. It is your responsibility, however, to get reimbursed for what you have paid for services if this occurs. I always encourage you ask if/how much does your insurance plan cover for an out-of-network provider.

You can fill out this contact form, email, or call me if you are interested in working with me. I will get back to you and let you know if I have openings to accept new clients. I always offer a free 15-minute phone consultation before scheduling an initial appointment.
I will ask for a brief description of why you are seeking services, and some initial screening questions to determine if I would be an appropriate fit. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you have before you decide to schedule an initial appointment with me.

Yes - I offer a free, brief phone consultation before scheduling an initial appointment.
During that time, I’ll ask some more questions about what you are hoping to gain from therapy to determine if I’m an appropriate fit, go over insurance/billing information, and answer any other questions you might have about me or my practice.
